It wasn’t always this way, though.
When I graduated with my shiny Journalism degree, I was completely lost. I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I knew I always had a knack for reading & writing, but I didn’t know how to translate that into a 9-5 career. So I began to search for a way to combine my interests with my passions and my degree.
Spoiler: It was a mess.
When I found my way into education, I knew I could make a difference and change lives. I knew that I could impact young minds and help them to find joy in reading and writing. But after a few years, I started feeling the passion fade and didn’t know what to do next.
Then, as if the social media gods were literally reading my mind - the targeted ads started to pop up in my feed for copywriting courses. I thought, “Why not me?” and threw my hat into the ring.
My first big investment scared the shit out of me.
But it also unlocked something within me. The inner leader started to emerge and I knew that I had finally found what I was meant to do. As I started to learn - I realized that most of the things in the copywriting course were things I already knew. I knew right then and there that I could not only do this thing - but be damn good at it.
So I took the biggest risk I’ve ever taken and placed all bets on myself. Copy By Steph was born in March of 2020 while I was visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter (literally nothing more appropriate). It was the most aligned decision I’ve ever made for myself.
Since then, I’ve helped entrepreneurs to sell out their launches, revive their email lists, learn how to write good copy for their businesses, create content calendars, and bust through sticky mindset challenges faster than you could say “Avengers, assemble.”
And it feels so good.
